Maryborough City Heart Markets 

Every Thursday - Maryborough CBD - 8.00am to 1.00pm

Every Thursday, Maryborough’s city centre undergoes an amazing transformation into a colourful outdoor heritage bazaar. Wander around over 100 stalls selling an amazing array of farm fresh produce, original hand-made craft, homemade treats, artwork, jewellery, clothes, accessories, natural beauty products and gorgeous cut flowers. Meet a cast of characters in historical dress, including the Town Crier and the historic time cannon fired at 1pm. Soak up the atmosphere of music and entertainers and enjoy weekly giveaways.


Gatakers by Night

Monthly - 5.00pm to 9.00pm

Enjoy an evening of art, live music, food and wine, and quirky torchlight tours at Gatakers by Night. Local artists will demonstrate their talents and art and craft will be available to buy. Wood-fired pizza, homemade desserts, delicious coffee and wine are on the menu. Gatakers Artspace is located in Maryborough’s oldest surviving commercial building – built back in 1868 to store wine and spirits – and now transformed into a stunning art and cultural hub. Sunday in the Park

Enjoy a wonderful Sunday morning of steam train rides and brass bands held in Maryborough’s stunning Queens Park – one of Australia’s first botanic gardens. Brass bands play inside a graceful old band rotunda while the Mary Ann, a full sized replica of Queensland’s first steam locomotive built in Maryborough in 1873, chugs along the riverside parklands. Children and adults can also climb on-board miniature steam trains, which run on a circuit around Queens Park.
